Share Information, Not Opinion in a Time of CoronaVirus Crisis!

With my home state, New York, on 100% mandatory stay-home, I have to believe we are about to turn the corner in the fight against COVID-19. So, why NOT put partisanship aside and listen to what the next steps our Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo, or in California, Gov. Gavin Newsom, are telling us to do. Don’t like Mayor de Blasio? OK, well still listen to the resources this city is offering amidst the crisis.

The only way to get through this is by LISTENING and soaking in information from politicians we may not like. Yes, people on the Liberal side, that even includes President Trump. The White House was harassed for not doing Press Briefings for months, yet during the coronavirus outbreak, President Trump has stood at the podium updating the American people daily. I truly believe it’s made him look the most Presidential outside of the State of the Union address.

While I’ve heard people say we can’t inject politics into the fight against COVID-19, I find it hard to do. After all, the POLITICIANS are the ones updating us on this crisis daily. It’s them we have to listen to on the Right or Left side of the Aisle. It appears that we are listening to leadership during this time, and I love that kind of unity.

Be smart and heed the advice of our leaders, whether you like them or not! The moment we start ignoring their advice in a time of need, and ignoring the information that is coming out of Albany, City Hall, or in YOUR local State Capitol or City Hall, is the moment we set back the country.

Their leadership matters, but the way the American people react does as well. Even if you can’t stand the politics or have some conflict currently with a friend, family member, or neighbor, don’t withhold resources or information you know about from them. That would be such a spiteful, hateful act during a time of crisis. Share vital information and what you know with who you know around you, it’s just the right thing to do and could change a life! On the receiving side, if you have some sort of disagreement with the person sending you the information, don’t ignore it! It’s that simple!

Share the advice and information you hear with loved ones and friends and most importantly, stay safe!
